Pretty but out of focus ~ Mercury in Pisces

Visions and vague conversations will distract rather than inform us for 2 months while Mercury wanders in the sign of dreams. How to cope with Mercury at its worst in Pisces? Here’s some tips for before, during and after this transit.

All About Mercury

Mercury, also called Hermes by the Greeks, was the messenger of the Gods. The Archetype of Mercury influences the areas of our lives that not only deliver messages, it affects so much more! How we think, plan and shop is also Mercury. How we move between any two places or ideas or people is so much a part of Mercury that it is considered a hermaphrodite. Mercury is both male and female incorporating parts of both so it can blend the two ends of the road it travels.

Understanding Mercury Retrograde

Because Mercury moves the quickest of all the planets, three or four times a year it appears to go backward. Remember the story of the Tortoise and the Hare? The Tortoise moves slow and steady while the Hare moves quickly but with lots of stops. The Earth is the Tortoise taking 365 days to go around the Sun. Mercury, the Hare, takes only 88 days. When Mercury speeds past the Earth and rounds a turn of the orbit, it appears to be going backwards.

Virgo Season Surprises

Virgo Season encourages preparation and planning like a kid buying school supplies. This year, that deliberate and diligent energy starts with a normal new moon before it crashes into the shocks from 2 eclipses.

The Pluto in Aquarius Years

The beginning of 2026 offers a deluge of opportunities to uncover how to work with Pluto as the personal planets enter Aquarius and meet the planet of secrets and transformation. On January 17th, Venus enters Aquarius encouraging us to find harmony through technological and social innovations. The next day the Moon follows creating an Aquarius stellium. When the Moons teams up with both Venus and Pluto expect heightened emotional reactions to the search for peace or, at least, answers.

Shooting the Outer Planet Arrow

On July 7th, the outer planets joined forces forming an arrow that pierces through to a radically different future. As each inner planet opposes the tip of that arrow, they pull back the bow adding their individual strengths and weaknesses to the flight of the outer planet arrow.

Mars in Leo

Visualize the attention and excitement captured by the spotlight on a stage as Leo’s domain. With Mars the Mighty Warrior back to full speed in May, he delivers his usual energy to whomever embodies his confidence and speed.

The Scorpion is centered in a zodiacal wheel.

Scorpio: Sex, Death and Magic

Astrologically speaking Halloween, happens while the Sun is in Scorpio, the sign that rules sex, death and magic. Scorpionic urges include sacred sexuality, morbid fascinations, and rituals for power and knowledge, tempting every sign while the Sun travels through this arc of the zodiac.
